Get your ADT monitoring certificate.
A monitored security system can take up to 20% off your homeowners or renters insurance. Your insurance company needs a Certificate of Monitoring before they will apply it. Here is how to pull yours.
Option 1
Standard ADT systems
Use this if you log in at MyADT.
- Sign in at MyADT.com.
- Open the Account tab in the main menu.
- Click Account Documents.
- Under Certificates & Forms, choose Alarm Monitoring Certificate.
- Download the PDF, or choose Send PDF via Email to send it straight to your agent.
Option 2
ADT+ smart home systems
Use this if you have the ADT+ app.
- Sign in at plus.adt.com, or open the ADT+ app.
- Go to Settings.
- Select Monitoring.
- Tap Certificate to view, save or email it.
Before you send it
Check it before you file it.
- Make sure the certificate lists everything you actually have monitored. Burglary, fire and smoke, and water leak detection are usually discounted separately, so a certificate that only shows one of them leaves money on the table.
- Most carriers take the PDF by email or through their own app. Sending it to your agent directly is faster than uploading it and hoping someone opens it.
If the certificate does not look right, or you want to add sensors before you file it, call us first. Changing the system after the discount is applied means pulling a new certificate anyway.
